Where the law requires a different lawful basis in your country, we will use the basis required by that law.
4. Who processes information for us
We disclose only what is reasonably necessary to service providers that help us operate the platform, including:
- Google Firebase: authentication, database, server functions and related infrastructure.
- Stripe: card checkout, payment verification and fraud prevention.
- Paynow: payment processing when that option is enabled and selected.
- Hosting, communications and support providers: website delivery, email, monitoring and customer support.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices or under agreements with us. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a properly managed business transfer.
5. International transfers
Some providers may process information outside Zimbabwe or the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual, organisational or legal safeguards and assess the protection available for the transfer.
6. Retention
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above. Account and learning records are normally kept while the account is active. Purchase, credit and accounting records may be retained longer where needed for tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymise or securely restrict it.
7. Security
We use access controls, authenticated accounts, server-side payment verification, encryption in transit and provider security controls. No online service is completely risk-free. Keep your password confidential and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
8. Cookies and local storage
The platform uses essential cookies or browser storage for sign-in, security, preferences and session continuity. Third-party services such as Firebase, Stripe, Paynow and Google-hosted resources may set or read information under their own policies. We will request consent before using non-essential cookies where the law requires it.
9. Children and learner accounts
The platform contains education content that may be used by younger learners. A parent, guardian, school or other authorised adult should create or supervise an account where applicable law requires this. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information about a child. Contact us if you believe a child’s information was provided without appropriate authority.
10. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing; receive a portable copy; and withdraw consent. Some rights have legal exceptions, including where records must be retained. Email info@nzwisiso.ai from your account address so we can verify the request.
You may also complain to the data protection authority that applies to you. In Zimbabwe, the designated authority is POTRAZ. People in the United Kingdom may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
11. Links and AI assistants
Nzwisiso.ai may link to third-party websites and AI assistants. If you copy a prompt into another service, that service receives what you submit and its privacy policy applies. Avoid adding personal, confidential, medical, financial or school records unless you are authorised and understand the receiving service’s terms.
12. Changes
We may update this notice when our services or legal obligations change. We will change the date above and provide an additional notice where a change is material or the law requires it.
